Dear Griswold School Community Members,

Welcome back to another exciting school year!

This website is designed for your use. Please refer to it to confirm school hours, days off and other areas of concern. Additional updates and specific dates for various school events will be printed monthly in the Griswold Gazette. Of course, if you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to call the school.

Our school goal this year is to improve performance related to examining the content and structure of text, as measured by the Connecticut Mastery Test. In addition to the CMT, students demonstrate their comprehension through daily work, on theme tests, in response to independent reading and on district assessments. Teachers use these student performance results to plan instruction.

Our school’s successes are magnified with your help. Consider attending Parents Club and UpBeat Team meetings on the first Monday of each month. Volunteers are often recruited for the Eagle Publishing Center, the Library-Media Center and for classrooms. The partnership that exists between home and school results in an overall positive learning experience at Griswold School.
